Partnership
This City College Plymouth course is delivered in partnership with dBs and the University of Plymouth. Students are based in our real world venue but will also use a variety of other venues during the course. The mix of 'real world' experiences and work based learning combined with excellent educational and industrial expertise helps to create one of the best courses in the country.

Gear
Whilst working in the real world venues, students will have access to a selection of MIDAS consoles along with a huge selection of top PA gear. We also give our students plenty of exposure to our Digidesign Venue desk. At the dBs facility itself there are 15 professional recording studios, 2 live rooms, a surround sound lecture theatre and 3 highly specified PC & Mac Music Workstation Suites. Beat that.

Hands on
This is a subject that requires a large amount of hands on time. Don't let anyone tell you any different. Any institution that fills their music tech and sound related courses full of lecture and theory probably haven't invested enough in their facility.

|

|
|
Course Modules
The course modules are designed to promote exemplary live sound practice and understanding. Students will work with real bands, musicians, actors and speakers to ensure they are able to perform whilst working under pressure. Occasional sleep will be permitted.
