On July 14th this year, Deep Blue Sound underwent their Award Assessment Board for the FdA Degree Sound & Music Technology, conducted by Dr John Dack of the Lansdown Centre for Electronic Art at Middlesex University. Assisted by DBS tutor Nick Trussler, Dr Dack produced a lengthy report which described DBS?s work in glowing terms. He said, ?In my opinion it was unquestionably on a level with national standards and indeed, frequently surpassed these standards. Each module has examples of outstanding work?. He continued, ?I also had the opportunity to talk with several of the tutors and was most impressed with their teaching skills and enthusiasm. Nick Trussler has assembled an excellent team; they all deserve a great deal of credit. This degree is innovative and provides students with a solid basis for their intellectual and practical development. I had no hesitation in approving the module marks and look forward to seeing more work next year?.
