 Sound Recording Techniques takes you through the basics of using a recording studio and recording techniques. including use of mixing desks, signal processors, microphones and multi-track recording. MIDI Sequencing and Software Synths and sound cards, computer use in music, sequencing software. Multimedia Sound Production Hardware and software for multimedia sound production, sound for computer games, DVD menu systems. Sound for the Moving Image Location and studio recording, pre-production techniques, production phase, post-production techniques Studio Production Process & Studio Production Project The final major project in which you will be provided with a piece of film and asked to put sound to the film. Using all of the skills you have acquired throughout the course you will record 2 pieces of music in surround sound, edit the music so that each piece of music fits with particular scenes in the film. You will then do a surround sound mix of the music and burn that to a DVD.
